One of those currently posts

I'm in the mood for a currently post!  How about you??

Currently I am...

Feeling:  Hungry!  I just started Weight Watchers and I could really go for some chocolate or a pizza right now!!

Reading:  I will be starting Station Eleven very soon.  Like hopefully tonight!

Watching:  Wayward Pines!  OMG, I think I have found my new go-to show!  I can’t wait to tune in every Thursday night.  If you liked shows like Lost, X-Files and Twin Peaks, this will be right up your alley!

Thinking:  How happy I am they caught the 2 escaped prisoners in Northern NY!   I went to college only about 20 minutes from the prison they escaped from.  I have lots of friends still in that area, and one of my besties currently works at Clinton Correction Facility as a counselor!  So needless to say, I am very relieved it’s over. I’ll admit, it was an exciting story to follow though!

Wondering:  What I should do for my 40th birthday.  Hard to believe I’m turning 40 soon, right?   (OK- the end of December so not tooo soon).  I really want to take a trip somewhere,  Maybe New Orleans?  Florida? Somewhere closer?

Looking forward to:  Lunch tomorrow with a great friend I haven’t seen in years!  I am also looking forward to a week off from work next week (woo hoo!!) and the little 4 wheeling adventure the hubby and I are going on!

Looking at:  The July picture on my calendar which is of Bar Harbor, Maine. Can I transport myself here right now??

Hoping:  For better days for some very good friends who have had a lot of sadness lately.

  2. Such a fun list! Whenever I'm trying to watch my weight, I seem to feel hungry all the time! Like right now...I want to eat everything in sight. New Orleans is so much fun! I've been twice when I was a kid, I would love to visit as an adult.

  5. Hi! Saw your link on the Wading through Motherhood Facebook thread. I traveled to Chicago with my 2 besties from college the year we all turned 40. So I totally recommend a trip! It was fun and memorable. :)

  6. I'm dieting right now too, so chocolate sounds sooooo good. I'm also relieved they caught those prisoners. I have a friend that grew up there, and she has a lot of friends in the area too. Haven't heard of the book, so I'll have to check it out!

  11. I found your blog through Painted Teacup Link-it Party - I can't believe how much we have in common! I also love coastal Maine and went to college in northern NY state - Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. From what you said, I am guessing maybe Paul Smith's?

We are also totally into Wayward Pines right now! There are so many good shows this summer - we are having trouble keeping up with all of them - also enjoying Under the Dome, Dark Matter, The Last Ship, and Stitchers - and soon Graceland and Extant are re-starting, too! Like I said, hard to keep up.

And I love to read and have been dying to read Station Eleven - have heard so many good things about it. Hope you enjoy it! You might like my book blog, too :) Nice to "meet" you! (oh and I also have two boys but they are now 17 and almost-21 - enjoy these early years - they go by so fast!)

    1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Ah, Plattsburgh! A friend of mine lives there now. And I was a member of a SUNY sorority, Alpha Kappa Phi (Ago), because Clarkson didn't have its own sororities at the time so ours all had members from SUNY Potsdam & Clarkson.

Nice to meet a fellow NYer (I live in Delaware now but miss NY state)
